Self-Awareness

Being able to take responsibility for your life begins with Self-Awareness and ends with how you interact with people around you.  Some of the keys provided in the Jedi Compass that help you become more aware of your interactions with people are coming to a full awareness of your ability to be Tolerant and Objective.  In this class you will be challenged to face truths about your ability to handle how you understand yourself vs. how others see you, you will also be given material to help you better understand and develop the Jedi Virtues  Tolerance & Objectivity.

Entering the Cave

Learning how to navigate our society is important.  Over time we develop our communication skills, and sometimes we gain insight into how to handle situations.  But there are areas of our own lives that we still struggle with.  This curriculum is developed to expose you to tools you can use in your everyday social life.

In the Interest of Peace

It is easy to believe, with the crowd, that certain actions are righteous.  But to live up to our fictional counterparts, we Jedi must be willing to adopt sound judgement and good ethics when we act.  As such, we recognize that Jedi are not vigilantes.  We respect the law of the land we are in, and recognize that there are legal methods of changing those laws or seeing to it that they are enforced equally.  In this class, you will learn how you can help without hindering emergency personnel operations, as well as begin to understand how to effectively participate in social reformation, as well as how to understand the Jedi Ethic of Defense.

A Jedi’s Duty: The Meaning of Service

During this class, you will learn the value of becoming an active member of your community.  You will also be challenged to research a local problem in your area and over the course of your class encouraged to keep a blog of things you learn.  Your instructors will be available to help you research the topic you have chosen and help you find possible solutions.  This study will hopefully cultivate a better appreciation for becoming more than just a volunteer, but a well-educated volunteer.
